Definition of happiness when I am at college

Image
The definition of happiness according to google is an emotional state characterized by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfillment. To me happiness can be caused by spending time with your friends, family, lover if you have one or maybe just doing a hobby you enjoy. I personally think that happiness for me especially now that I'm a college student is self growth and healing. It has taken me more than five years to become accustomed to my personal needs and learn to heal wounds that have yet to heal. I have also started learning to be more gentle on myself which has definitely contributed to my happiness. Healing took more time then I myself ever bargained for but all that time and effort was worth it, I am happier now than I was ever before.  Another form of happiness that I have experienced in college is praise from my lecturers. I have never found myself enjoying praise from anyone until I started college. Knowing that my efforts in completing my tasks or assignme...

Hobbies and skills that I picked up in college that surprised me

Image
A hobby that I picked up in college is crocheting. I've always been quite creative but I never saw myself doing crocheting because it of how complex it is. I've also avoided doing it because of how costly it is but after Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) I took up a job at a local shoe store so I was able to earn a little money for my college and other needs. I ended up buying everything I could possibly need to start my crocheting journey online. Although I might've over estimated the amount of products that i would need so now I have way to much yarn. Me currently I have about thirteen balls of yarn but not a single finished project because I have to little time on my hands and when I am free I am way too tired to finish them. I also need to get in the habit of finishing one project before starting a new one. I currently have about five unfinished crocheting projects. A skill that I picked up in college is learning how to use Canva, back when I was in secondary school most...

Mistakes I made in college and what I learned from them.

Image
I've only been in college for two months now but I feel like I've made a thousand and one mistakes. One mistake I've made that I still find myself making every now and again but I'm definitely getting better at avoiding is procrastinating. I've procrastinated through doing my tasks until the very last minute which I still deeply regret.  Literally me I once found myself deciding to get all my chores done instead of doing my task first 😭 I don't know what exactly got into me but I still ended up getting my chores done before finally doing my task. Moral of the story I learnt to not procrastinate doing my tasks until the very last minute. Me the minute I finish an essay Another mistake I find myself making often is not double checking my spelling or grammar when writing an essay. I have yet to get into trouble but sooner or later I will. I've definitely learned to reread my essays at least two or three times before actually submitting them even then I am stil...

Class or lecture that has impacted me significantly.

Image
I take six subjects in college which means I have a total of six lectures. The lecture that has impacted me the most is study skills, I honestly thought I wouldn't learn as much from this lecture compared to my other lectures but boy was I wrong. As an introvert who struggles with socializing and self confidence study skills has taught me confidence building. In confidence building we learn a lot of things that help build our confidence in different settings. This is literally me when presenting Just last week in confidence building we learnt how to effectively present presentations and I remember locking in so quickly when the lecture started. Bonus I had to present for another lecture right after study skills so I was able to apply what I learned from study skills right after. I was still quite stiff but I made eye contact with a couple people and for me that was more than enough. Me creating my weekly schedules In the same lecture I also learned how to build a weekly schedule, w...

Times when I stepped out of comfort zone

Image
I am a certified introvert, I've been an introvert practically all my life. I don't step out of my comfort zone very often but back when I was in form 4 I signed up to be a facilitator for an English camp held at my school. Sadly the only picture I have is the one of me eating bread. I didn't take any other picture besides that because my back camera was cracked and also the quality would just be bad overall. I did thoroughly enjoyed being a facilitator and I'm thankful I had the chance to take part in setting up the activities. Official Certificate Of Introversion I do have this though, it is an official certificate I got from Chief of the Introvert Society. Please do not call them, they might email you....maybe. Ps this isn't real I don't have a lot of achievements anyways so I'll take whatever i can get real or not. Another time I remember stepping out of my comfort zone was representing my school for Majlis Sukan Sekolah Daerah (MSSD) Kelantan 2024 and...
